Big business sucks

Hello all my peeps. Time for a Fenix Rant.

By now most should have seen the Comcast video of the tech sleeping at the customers home. If not, well here it is :)

Ok, well needless to say the tech got fired. The person that shot the video tried by making calls and sending email NOT to get the person fired that in fact it is the call volumn that the understaffed call center recieves that is to blame. Like most large companies, everyone is just a number.

The story gets better.

I've been in telecom for a little over 10 years. And I've seen first hand how these big telecom companies don't care at all about there employees. Believe me, I could go on a rant about inside information on how upper management want the customers treated. It would be VERY eye opening. But that's not want this rant is for, this rant is about the power that these companies weild, and if it goes unchecked freedom of information will be non existant.

Dateline finally gets on the story. BTW, LOVE how mainstream media is so "mainstream". So Dateline gets the story, does the interviews etc, then ABC wants to post it on their website. You know, internet video, for the young hip demographic, but wait. The company that they send it to to edit and post is none other than.......you guessed it Comcast!! Well comcast got it, and edited the Comcast peice right out. Nothing was said until some people from their demographic decided to narc on them because that peice was no longer there!! Of course once the error was pointed out to ABC and Comcast it was "a mistake that was made during the editing processand has been corrected"

Right.

My biggest problem is that while I was on the inside this sort of behavior was normal. Someone pointed out an issue they where either found to be lacking in another area of their job and fired or "relocated" to a different department. (Believe me I could go on and on) But now that this sort of thing is out in the open people need to know that to the Big bells and the Telecoms this is business as usual, they believe that THEY control the net as well as Media. When you get a chance look into what OTHER business those telecommunications businessess own. You'd be surprised at how much information they control.

People, get informed. Make your voice heard. Start a blog, let them know what you think. And above all, write letters and speak with your dollar.

WE decide on the information, WE decide on the content, WE own the internet.

we WILL be heard

Lol....I agree with you Fenix but I don't think the 'avg' American could really grasp the fact that big business runs this country. The true 'owners' of the country have had the house and senate on payroll from day one and when it comes down to it......is it really a democracy to vote for a choice of politicians 'picked' by big business?
We have gotten so relaxed with things that they even have the balls to 'correct' the vote when things don't go how the analysts predicted. (FLORIDA)

Ummm...i really need to tell you who this is?
